Global Business Service Data Office (GDO) mission is to provide accessible, robust data services within Finance to make it a work class data driven function contributing to AstraZeneca’s ability to deliver life-changing medicines. As an operational arm of GBS Data Office, the Data Management Team (DMT) is responsible for data maintenance in the systems of record within Finance. This covers the creating, amending, and blocking of core master data objects to support our business processes and reporting solution. The team is offering global support across geographies to response to requests and to process them in a timely manner and efficient way.

As the successful role holder, the person carries out transaction processing activities within a specified process area to meet the needs of both internal and external customers in accordance with agreed service levels and in compliance with internal controls and procedures.

It is crucial the role holder ensure quality and accurate delivery of services within agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA), support process improvement initiatives as outlined in team scorecard and perform day to day master data activities according to well-defined guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional and consistent service to customers by supporting the resolution of local country inquiries related to the DMT function.

  • Perform tasks related to master data processing within defined guidelines, including resolving basic queries and investigations in the DMT system in a timely manner.

  • Complete all master data requests accurately and within specified timelines; analyze work items and resolve issues with supervision when necessary.

  • Support the implementation, development, and modification of systems, transactions, and processes, including preparing and updating process documentation.

  • Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure effective teamwork and service delivery.

  • Assist team leads and colleagues in activities that enhance team effectiveness, including supporting new joiners as they settle into their roles.

  • Ensure adherence to key controls as identified in FCF/SOX documentation.

  • Generate and compile KPI metrics related to the DMT function at month-end and as required.

  • Support Senior Analyst or Team Lead with ad hoc activities or projects as needed.

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or equivalent required.

  • 1-2 years of accounting work experience preferred; fresh graduates and candidates pursuing a professional qualification (part-time) in ACCA, CIMA, or other relevant areas are encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems will be an added advantage.

  • Experience working in a shared services center within a global or large organization is an asset.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Willingness and ability to work shift hours (3pm–12am) for six working days during the month-end period.
